I have recently aquired a 1973 wheel horse automatic. I got it running and it seems to go forward and backward with decent power. When it is in neutral position it does not creep either way. The brakes should hold when in the neutral position but it only takes a few pounds or torque to push the wheels when up on risers. The free wheeling valve appears to work ok, but open or closed it takes the same push to move the tractor. Any ideas specifically where the problem in the transmission might be? |
